ELIGIBILITY

ALL ARE WELCOME

Medical care and related ancillary services (blood-draws, health education, social services) are available to everyone, regardless of ability to pay.

West Oakland Health Council (WOHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center and non-profit that was established in 1967. As an outpatient clinic WOHC offers a patient-centered approach to care that has been recognized by The Joint Commission. We care about our patients and are dedicated to providing multicultural, culturally sensitive health and dental care services, which are accessible and affordable to everyone.

Affordable Health Care

West Oakland Health accepts most forms of insurance, including Medi-Cal, Medicare, and Denti-Cal. Our goal is to provide you and your family the access to care you need as soon as possible.

No insurance? WOHC offers discounts on the cost of care for uninsured and low-income patients. The discount amount depends on patient income and family size. Please contact us or stop by one of our health center sites so that our Enrollment Specialist staff can help you review what insurance will cover your care and/or apply for affordable health and dental care coverage.

To qualify, patients must report all sources of income for the last 12 months and provide proof of income. If you have questions or wish to apply for a Sliding Fee Scale discount, please contact us or stop by one of our health center sites so that our Enrollment Specialist staff can assist you.  (Link to Sliding Fee Scale)

Payment for Services:

Payment is expected at the time services are received; all co-payments must be received at the time of your visit. WOHC allows patients to enroll on a payment plan to make payments for most services.

To enroll in a health coverage plan or if you have billing questions call our offices at (510) 835-9610 and one of our Call Center Agents will transfer you to the appropriate department.
