The WOHC Behavioral Health department provides evidence-based care and treatment to our community members. We work diligently to offer “whole person care” in a collaborative, supportive, and culturally competent environment. We aim to help our community members on their journey to wellness and independence.
Integrated Behavioral Health

Outpatient treatment for adult patients of our primary care clinic with mild to moderate mental health symptoms. Clients served in this program are referred for behavioral health services through their medical provider. Our therapists work collaboratively with your medical provider to ensure that you receive comprehensive, whole person care.
- Individual therapy – we provide treatment for many mental health concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, trauma, substance use, and stress.
- Care Coordination – our care coordinator will work with you to connect you to other supportive services and resources you may need.

Specialty Mental Health

Outpatient treatment for adults, adolescents, and children with moderate to severe mental health symptoms causing distress and impairment. Our Specialty Mental Health providers are happy to meet with you here at our office, at your home, at school, or in the community.
- Child Outpatient Level 1 – Individual and group therapy, case management and crisis intervention for children under 18 and their families.
- Adult Outpatient Level 1 – Individual and group therapy, case management and crisis intervention for adults 18 and older.
- School-Based Behavioral Health – Individual and group therapy provided to students with Medi-Cal at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary who have been referred through the school’s COST referral process.

All outpatient Specialty Mental Health services are provided under contract with Alameda County for Medi-Cal beneficiaries. Outpatient clients must be pre-screened for eligibility and referred by Alameda County’s ACCESS Program (1-800-491-9099). We can help you make this call in person at the office if you would like support and guidance through this process.
Domestic Violence Program

Outpatient domestic violence and anger management groups for men and women. Our men’s groups are to support our court-mandated participants in developing skills to improve relationship safety. Our women’s group welcomes court mandated participants as well as voluntary participants, and focuses on both domestic violence support and violence prevention. We also offer Stress Management and Relaxation groups as an additional benefit to program participants.
Intakes are conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please call Bahati Jackson at 510-835-9610 x2093 to make an appointment.

Medication Assisted Treatment

Medication assisted treatment for individuals recovering from opioid dependence. Our program includes daily medication dosing, individual substance use disorder counseling, and group counseling to support you on your journey to wellness. We accept walk-in self-referrals as well as referrals from the DMC-ODS referral helpline at 1-844-682-7215.
